Tether Privacy PolicyLast updated: 12 June 2026Tether is a two-person streak app made by Jonny Wilson. This policy explains what we store and why. The short version: we store the minimum needed to run your streak, we don't track you, and we never sell data.What we collect. When you sign up we store your email address. You choose a display name. Each day you check in, we store the photo you submit, the date, and which streak it belongs to. If you enable notifications we store a device push token. If you subscribe to Tether Plus, our payment partner processes the purchase and we store your subscription status — never card details.What it's for. Your email signs you in (one-time codes — no passwords). Your name and photos are shown to exactly one person: the partner you chose to pair with. Push tokens let us tell you when your partner checks in. Nothing is used for advertising or profiling, and we use no third-party analytics.Who can see your photos. Only you and your paired partner. Photos live in private storage; every view uses a link that expires after 60 seconds. Tether staff do not browse user photos.Who processes data for us. Supabase (database, authentication, photo storage), Expo (delivering push notifications), RevenueCat (subscription status), and Apple (payments). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.How long we keep it. Until you delete it. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) removes your profile, pair, streaks, photos and push tokens immediately and permanently. Your former partner keeps their account; the shared streak ends.Your rights. You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time in the app. UK and EU users have rights under GDPR including complaint to a supervisory authority. For anything else, email [email protected].Children. Tether is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.Changes. If this policy changes materially we'll note it in the app.
